DAVID ATHERTON

David, a patron for The Adventure Boutique Foundation since 2022, is best known for winning The Great British Bake Off in 2019.

He has always had a passion for food and travel and is a Global Health Adviser working in the International Development sector with a special interest in nutrition and a post graduate qualification in Expedition and Wilderness Medicine.

David previously worked for charities in Cote d’Ivoire, Papua New Guinea and Malawi. As a trained travel health nurse he was part of the team training UK health workers for the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

David’s experience in the travel and international development sector makes him a perfect match for the Adventure Boutique Foundation. His passion for charity aligns with the foundations principle of helping those in need.
